Monday morning, short week hopefully 😎

I got to confirm I can get Friday off, I didn’t look at the calendar, but Thursday hopefully I’ll be heading up to wilderness. Maybe remote work if neccessary due to short staff from the Mine Kill Pool, lol.

So if the bike test ride last night showed anything, πŸš΅β€β™‚οΈ it is riding really good since I replaced the bent derailuer hanger, and should be a good commute to work. πŸ₯š Need to get eggs on the way home from work, and maybe I’ll ride out to Five Rivers after dinner, to be decided. Rain and busing it in on Tuesday, Wednesday might be ok for riding in, it all depends on storm timing. Thursday, SuperDuty to work then camp. πŸ•οΈ Or so I hope.

And then a week from Thursday, leave by around 6:45 AM or so and get bacon πŸ₯“ from Chandler, stop at Valley View Produce inΒ  Center Lisle, fight Ithaca traffic πŸ€› and escape 10 square miles surrounded by reality, and crack open that first beer and have that first puff by around 11 AM or so? Sounds like fun, laying back in theΒ  hammock. 🍻 This year, I am not going to beat the bike too hard riding rough pasture trails, mostly saving the bike for gravel and dirt, and getting around towns. Corning sounds like a lot of fun to explore on bike.

Cornmeal pancakes with salsa πŸ’ƒ this morning, good stuff with lots of onions πŸ§… and spinach πŸ₯¬ in the mix. Should be a beautiful day for the commute in, it actually as a bit cool by morning in the bed, I had to hide under the comforter, felt like a September morning almost. Slept decently late but I also was sitting out back for a while last night. I am just glad the bike is back up and running, I was very worried shit was falling apart when I snapped the derailuer hanger yesterday. But it all worked out it would seem. Got to stop catestrophizing. I should look at a few more places to list the truck, it either goes before vacation or does not. 🫦 I’m not going to ruin my weekend or vacation plans over the old truck, as I spent too much of the summer just getting the SuperDuty up and running. But should be a good vacation, especially that day trip down to Pennsylvania to do the Blackwell Triple Crown and see those hick towns with the burn barrels and run down farms. 🐐
