Retirement Parites

I don’t understand why people work in their 60s and 70s – especially those who are in prominent positions – and could retire in comfort decades earlier.

When you are in mid-40s, all you hear about is people who have their retirement parties and then drop dead on their way to parking lot on their last day. Or a few days after retirement.

Maybe it’s survivorship basis – nobody talks about people who retired 30 years ago – but it sure seems like a lot of people leave their office that last day for the funeral home.
