Two or three weeks 📆

I was thinking next Friday come this time I will most likely have the truck cap on my truck. I have the money ready now, and they said they expected delivery the first week of June as of last week, however I did not confirm this week. Hopefully it gets installed next week, and then next weekend I can move my gear and start wiring things up.

It’s possible that the weekend of June 12-14 I’ll take my new rig out to Schoharie to test it out but I also kind of want to visit the Gas Up with dad that weekend. I am not so sold on camping that week but if it’s hot and nice, I’ll consider it. More likely is I’ll take off June 18th, heading out to of town on June 17th through the Juneteenth Weekend. Then maybe save Schoharie for later in June or early July, though I’m thinking of Moose River Plains for Independence Day 250 Weekend.

So far I’ve only driven Old Smokey to work once, but I look forward to that day, I head in, my truck loaded down with gear, and then head out to camp from work. The truck nice and cold from the remote start and air conditioning blowing cold. The grunt of the climb up North First Street, merging onto I-90, getting bacon at For the Love of Bacon, and then heading off to camp. Samdill’s Farm Stand as the summer progresses.
