  • Hi Andy! First of all thank you so much for your hard work and dedication. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve gone to your website or used one of your maps to gather info for a backcountry adventure. You’re the best!

I wanted your advice on a trip I’m planning for mid-January. I am hot tent camping and wanted to do an easy trip (relatively close to the car) plus a bit of hiking to the cliffs. I was shooting for campsite 1 or bushwack to campsite 2 from the Short Path. Any advice? Are those campsites official? Let me know your thoughts!

    Best,

    Alec D

    • It’s been a while since I hiked back there but I think at least some of the paths are marked. If not they are well used and easy to follow. Not sure what the parking situation is in the winter though I would imagine either the DEC or the town plows them out.
