Fort Herkimer – Canalway Trail  🗺️

About Fort Herkimer - Canalway Trail ....

I was curious to see how the Erie Canalway trail diverted off of the the former right-of-way of the New York Central line. It hops off the old rail line outside of Jacksonburg to follow the tow path of the Erie Canal and shoulder of the Barge Canal before hopping back on the right of way of the New York Central line around Herkimer through Frankfort, part of which is now the NY 5S Mohawk - Illion - Frankfort bypass..
