Never got rained on yesterday ☔ but so windy today 🌬️

Really felt that wind riding in this morning. It was roaring around, though once I got into the hollow wasn’t too bad. But it’s April so not so cold. And yesterday was surprisingly nice.

I couldn’t believe what a pleasant ride home it was from work yesterday. 🚴 I was sure I wold get soaked on the ride home, but it turned out to hold off until after I got into the office, then the sky turned blue and mild for the afternoon. The rain that was promised never happened. I couldn’t believe it. I think it was around 70 degrees by mid-day.

Went shopping 🛒 at Walmart. Another thing I couldn’t believe was my $120 grocery bill, though last week was only $92. Some of it was I bought some rechargeable batteries for my clock and electric toothbrush 🪥 — just some AA batteries 🔋 — but I didn’t want to get disposable ones because you can’t burn them and I know your not supposed to put them in recycle bin. Unlike the lithium ion batteries, they don’t even make a satisfying pop and fire ball. Got home and misplaced the second bag of onions I got, 🧅 but then found them. Decided to just do yellow onions, as I’ve not been happy with the sweet onions I’ve been getting lately, but maybe it’s just a matter of taste.

Got a bunch of books out on Hoopla. 📚 End of the month, had to use up my 10 borrows for the month. I am currently listening to an audio book on Permaculture and then I got some books about framing small buildings and construction of cabins, a book on Javascript and then some books on homesteading and farming. This should keep me going through April 21st, and give me some things to read and listen to up at camp. This weekend still looks like shit, with another rainy Saturday on tap, though maybe I’ll try to get away for one night. Hard to say, the forecast could change.
