You’re buying a house? Your building a house? Your continuing to rent?

People act like because I’m weighting my options and the pros and cons of things, many which come with costs I don’t like, I must have automatically fallen into one camp and the path is irreversible. But for now it’s as much a thought experiment as much as anything else, something to consider the pros and cons, and not box myself into one option. There are costs involving exploration, but if I don’t consider my values along with a realistic cost-benefit calculation and pay for the data I need to make good decisions, there is little room for growth.
