Good Morning – July 21, 2021

Good morning! What day is it? A hazy Hump Day with the wildlife smoke, of course. 🐪

Clouds, some fog, red haze over the sun and 64 degrees in Delmar, NY. 🎴Calm wind. The dew point is 63 degrees. A little less humid. The skies will clear around 7 pm.

Midpoint of the week. 🐪 Getting closer to summer vacation. 🏊🏻‍♂️ I didn’t sleep all that well, I woke up early, maybe because I’m just a little bit freaked out about everything. I probably shouldn’t be as I know vacation will be good but I am.

Decided to do breakfast 🥞 first then the morning walk 🚶🏻 as lately I’ve been coming back from my walk, sitting down, sipping my coffee ☕ and losing track of time and missing the earlier bus. 🚍 Kind of bad, especially now that I’m in the office downtown 🏢 more. That nine o’clock bus is always running late.

It certainly rained hard for a while ⛈️last night, especially in the middle of the night. No flooding locally but it seems like it was loud for a while. But it looks like it’s getting it out of its system.lok

My hot spot and unlimited mobile data plan is done, 📱 so no more internet at home 🖥 or watching YouTube videos for hours on end in the evening. That’s fine, the big thing that used a lot of data was the Zoom Meetings and streaming session for work and I’m mostly back downtown so I don’t need those things. I like to limit my internet use plus I have free Wi-Fi in the office 🏢 or a short walk 🚶🏻 down to the library 📚.

Not sure if I will be back to wearing the muzzle 😷 but it seems like some the reaction to the Delta variant is just reactionaries who are scared of their own shadows. 🕳 Same kind of people who believes there is a terrorist under ever street corner or a clown 🤡 in the sewer with balloons. 🎈 Exceptionally few people who have been fully vaccinated 💉 are hospitalized 🏥 with COVID. I will wear my mask on the bus and in the elevator when I’m sharing it but certainly not on vacation. 🏖
