Essentials in any home

Things that I think essential when I own land and an off grid home to live in full time…

  1. Hot shower. Nothing gets you clean like a hot shower. It’s nice to be able to wash off the mud and the sweat after a day working outdoors. Its good to feel nice and fresh on a new day.
  2. A place without a leaky roof. Water causes mold and makes life uncomfortable with dampness. You want to be dry in your home.
  3. A decent amount of insulation and few air leaks. This means less chopping of wood, feeling more comfortable in the cold of winter.
