May 19, 2019 Morning

Good morning! Happy Sunday. Four weeks to Fathers Day 👨. Rain keeps pouring down and 60 degrees ☁ in Delmar. There is a south breeze at 10 mph. 🍃. The dew point is 51 degrees. The skies will clear around noontime for a while.

I needed to get milk this morning at the store but by the time I got up it was raining. ☔ I know that’s a shocker 😲. But fortunately it was not raining too hard but now it’s picked up a bit. 🐮 I cooked up eggs 🍳 for breakfast, a nice omlet with cheese and sausage. Rode the exercise bike 🚲 for a while and now I’m working on some code. 🎹

Today will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Partly sunny 🌦, with a high of 79 degrees at 3pm. Nine degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 17th. Maximum dew point of 63 at 6pm. South wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had light rain. The high last year was 58 degrees. The record high of 91 was set in 1989. There was a dusting of snow in 1976.❄

I’m not convinced that we will see a lot of sun today ☁ but hopefully the rain will let up by afternoon when I go out to my parents house. I actually have a fair amount of cleaning to do and maybe work on some electronics projects before I head out so probably no hiking today. 🚶 The woods would probably be so soaked after all the recent rain we’ve had.

The sun will set at 8:15 pm with dusk around 8:47 pm, which is one minute later than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for partly clear skies and thunderstorms 🌩 and temperatures around 75 degrees. The dew point will be 62 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 13 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 46 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 54 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Mostly cloudy 🌧, with a low of 66 degrees at 5am. 18 degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 63 at 6pm. South wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. In 2018, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It became humid as the night progressed. It got down to 56 degrees. The record low of 29 occurred back in 2002.

Looking ahead, there are 4 weeks until Fathers Day 👨 when the sun will be setting at 8:35 pm with dusk at 9:10 pm. On that day in 2018, we had mostly sunny and temperatures between 84 and 50 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 78 degrees. We hit a record high of 96 back in 1967.

I saw on the sign in my bedroom that the last scheduled session day is one month away, 🏯which hopefully means less long days at work and certainly less dressing up. 👔I really need to get to the dry cleaners with my jackets.
