When you look at Census Tracts in Vermont, you will notice that most of them are close to $60k for the medium household income, with it tapering off quickly in both directions. Connecticut on the other hand, has some very wealthy and very poor census tracts, and a few exceptionally wealthy ones.
New York State since the 2020 Census count has lost 524,079 in population according to the July 2022 population estimates.
If this trend continues the remaining years of the decade, people on Twitter estimate the state would loose 3 additional seats in congress in 2032. However, this is unlikely to continue as international immigration is expected to increase into New York State in the coming years.
