Pigeon Lake Wilderness 📍

The Pigeon Lake Wilderness Area is located in the west central Adirondacks in the Towns of Inlet and Long Lake, Hamilton County, and Webb, Herkimer County. The wilderness is comprised of approximately 50,100 acres of state land and lies between four of the larger bodies of water in the Adirondacks–Big Moose Lake, Stillwater Reservoir, Raquette Lake and the Fulton Chain of Lakes.

Shallow Lake is a two mile relatively flat hike back along the Sucker Brook Bay Trail and Shallow Lake Trail is a large, remote lake in the Pigeon Lake Wilderness.
