Forest Road 71 – Somerset Airfield Rd 📍

Located in the southern Green Mountains, Forest Road 71 connects Somerset Road with Kelley Stand Road, and offers nearly 9 miles of scenic driving following the East Branch of the Deerfield River, with roadside campsites along it’s length. Notable designations include the former Somerset Airfield and the beautiful wetlands known as Shep Meadow.

Forest Road 71 was much wider and straighter then Kelley Stand Road, although much quieter with less traffic. Many nice roadside campsites along this road.
