Wednesday June 24, 2020 — Bog River Flow — Bog River and Winding Falls Trails 🗺 — Bog River Trail 🗺After hiking Lows Ledge, I spent some time down by Hitchens Pond at the carry, just taking in the darkening skies.
Wednesday June 24, 2020 — Bog River Flow — Bog River and Winding Falls Trails 🗺 — Bog River Trail 🗺The Bog River Falls is not a mighty drop, but it's a popular place for people, myself included, to stop for lunch and take in the scenery. On a hot day, it's probably also a nice place to cool off.
Thursday June 25, 2020 — Bog River Flow — Bog River and Winding Falls Trails 🗺 — Bog River Trail 🗺On Tuesday night, I walked along the Adirondack Scenic Railroad Tracks, which get little use since last year's wash out by Rollins Pond. The tracks were quiet, as they wandered through the wilderness. I saw a black bear and cubs, and not being sure if I locked up my truck fully, I headed back to camp after walking out about 20 minutes on the tracks.
