I saw an ad for this beautiful piece of land, at least in the advertisement, although I know the area well. That said, while the price and acrage are nice, I can't imagine buying land in New York State at this point with all the taxes, restrictions on gun ownership and open burning plus I see even more restrictions on hunting, trapping and farming especially as the state only becomes more urban.

You often see pickup trucks full of stale bread that people buy on the cheap to bring back to their hogs. Not only is it feeding the pork and future bacon, it's also bring fertility to the land, as pigs are great for restoring soils that has been denuded from historical farming practices or weren't that fertile to start out with.
