Prospect Hill Cementary 📍

Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland, New York, is a historic, community-oriented landmark spanning over 50 acres along the Western Turnpike. Established in 1854 on land donated by the Veeder family, it is designed in a park-like rural cemetery style with rolling hills and winding roads.

Prospect Hill Cemetery

I went over to the Prospect Hill Cemetery for a while mostly to see what I could see of 24 Karner Road from a public location, though the trees and elevation contours made it a bit difficult to see that other parcel. Still it was an interesting, quiet walk in the cemetery, which on various sand dunes is incredibly scenic especially on a beautiful spring day.

Holmes Monument

I was quite fascinated by this large monument dedicated to the Holmes Family. Must have been a prominent family in the Guilderland area.

Road

A nice quiet drive and walk around the cemetery, which after you go up the steep hill has gently sloping roads with many views as you look over the grave stones.
