The Albany-Hudson Electric Trail (AHET) spans 36 miles along the former route of the Albany-Hudson Electric Trolley in New York, from Hudson to Rensselaer. This trolley operated for 30 years until it ceased in 1929. The trail offers a journey through the scenic Hudson Valley, passing through farmlands, orchards, and charming communities in Rensselaer and Columbia Counties. It also crosses the picturesque Valatie Kill stream several times. Most of the trail is off-street, with surfaces like asphalt or stone dust, but there are short on-street or sidewalk segments.
