One of my top choices for replacing Big Red is a Toyota Tacoma but I want to learn about the pros-and-cons of the various models. I'd rather spend a bit more on getting the off-groad package rather then putting a lift kit afterwards, though sometimes I'll miss being so high up in the air but I tell you my lift kit so beat on my truck and I feel like a stock truck just has less to worry about.
The highest year round highway in New York State is Ulster County Route 47 past the Winnisook Lake Club near Slide Mountain in the Catskill Mountains at 2,640 elevation.
The highest year around open highway maintained by NYSDOT is NY 16 in Knapp Creek, Cattaraugus County just north of the Pennsylvania border 2,370 elevation.
This is something I want to play with in QGIS to see what kind of interesting maps I can make.
I was listening to this podcast on the way in today. Taxes, maintance cost, acreage that is build-able, among other things are big considerations. More information is good, and while I don't necessarily agree with everything in this podcast, I am considering each topic they discuss carefully.
