Syracuse Tobacco Retailers Map

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh on Friday signed a new city law that limits how many retailers will be able to sell tobacco products and where they can sell them. The mayor’s signature follows a public hearing on the law held Monday. Four people spoke, all in support of the measure. The Syracuse Common Council passed the law unanimously at its Sept. 5 meeting. The new local law creates a tobacco product retail licensing system within the city. Businesses licensed by the state to sell tobacco products, including vaping materials, will now have to apply annually for a city license, as well.

Stoner culture 😁

We all know pot heads. Super cool, relaxed people, laid back many who make cannabis their ideology with flags and proudly displayed psychedelic paraphanalia.

I get how the ideology grows upon them, though I’m not convinced that it’s due to the drug rewiring their brains. As much as cannabis makes you relaxed when you are high, I think people seek cannabis out and the lifestyle to be cool and relaxed. Cannabis doesn’t make you love Jimmy Buffet but loving Jimmy Buffet lifestyle might just make you love the intoxicating plant.

I think some of stoner culture comes out of the idea that for a long time cannabis was illegal and that you had to go underground to get it. It’s also in many ways an exaggeration of the stoned experience – colors in stoner psychedelic artwork are far more vivid than the enhancement one gets being high. Maybe it is propaganda for pot.

Heavy use over time probably rewires the brain. But probably not to the degree of popular culture makes it out to be. The cannabis doesn’t make people cool, or allow them to be so much more attuned to the world around them but people choose to smoke to be more attuned to the world around them.

De-monetarized! 💵

How dare you mention that you bought and smoked cannabis on your Independence Day Weekend camping trip say the advertisers to your blog?! You know the devil’s lettuce.

My response it’s a legal product and a legal activity to smoke it up in the State Forest Preserve. Don’t like it too bad.

Don’t read my blog, don’t advertise on it. While I will mention my experiences on my blog, I doubt I’ll dwell on it much on the blog as it’s only part of my experiences. I’m sure those who refrained from advertising while the c word was trending on my blog will be back.

Probably won’t make $200 on the blog next month but whatever, I’m sure advertisers will still like the maps and the pictures even if I’ve become too much about celebrating my freedom as an New Yorker on this Independence Day Weekend.
