Five Rivers Environmental Education Center Seasons Change

Nearly every Saturday since mid March I’ve been walking out to Five Rivers Environmental Education Center. It’s interesting to watch how the woods and wildlife changes as winter fades away to spring.

Spent over nine hours this weekend observing nature 🐦 🐸 🦆

True some of the time was walking back and forth but it’s nice knowing there is so much to explore and observe by walking on foot from home. Sure beats all the crap that I’m sure television owners are consuming and involved burning no fossil fuels. So it was a nice weekend.

As my parents are busy tonight I decided to do my walk out to Van Dyke Preserve and then Five Rivers later this evening

As my parents are busy tonight I decided to do my walk out to Van Dyke Preserve and then Five Rivers later this evening. Van Dyke was nice, really greening up with blue skies but all I saw was a squirrel, usual tons of robins and song sparrows. By the time I got to Five Rivers the skies had grayed up but unlike yesterday, the spring peepers were loud with the warmer temperatures and light drizzle.
