July 12, 2017 Night

Definitely a sultry night with the dew point pushing 72 degrees, although the fan clipped onto the tailgate of Big Red is keeping me cool. Mercury is at 75. Rain has held off but it’s coming which should bring some relief to the heat on this sultry summer evening. The floocr in the bathroom and kitchen is just damp from the moisture and will need mildew treatment when the heat breaks. It was still nice down at the park as dusk came on this mostly cloudy evening.

Heat like this has me thinking about summer vacation which starts the weekend after this. It will be nice camping up on Hector Backbone and hitting the pools up every day. I look forward to sitting under the stars at Foster Pond until midnight or so some nights.

This weekend it’s up to Wells and Speculator. It should hopefully be a nice weekend of kayaking, camping and swimming. Hopefully it won’t rain too much as I load Big Red in the rain and the rain will end before Friday night. We will see.

The rain is starting… I better head in for the night. That’s fine, I need to get more sleep before I go into work tomorrow so I’m not tired. Enjoy the rain and good night!
