Agriculture in New York

Roughly 25% of New York’s land mass is used for agricultural purposes. Agriculture while land intensive, only produced $5.7 billion in cash receipts in a state whose economic output the same year (2015) was $1,445 billion. Agriculture products contributed about 0.39% of state’s gross state product.
