October 12, 2016 Evening

Good afternoon. It is 71 degrees and sunny outside this afternoon in North Syracuse. A nice afternoon with a light breeze.

At sunset, look for mostly clear conditions and 68 degrees. The dew point will be 49 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 8 mph.

The sun will set at 6:25 pm with dusk around 6:53 pm, which is 1 minutes and 40 seconds earlier than yesterday.

Waxing Gibbous Moon tonight with 79% illuminated. The moon will set around 6:09 am. The Full “Hunter” Moon is on Sunday at 4:23 am with mostly clear skies expected with chance of showers expected.

This year, I decided to vote for Jill Stein for President when I filled out my absentee ballot. It’s been mailed. I was really undecided about who I would vote for president, and while I kind of liked Donald Trump, I decided Jill Stein had a better platform and was closer to me on the issues. I think we need a new, progressive direction for our country, and I wasn’t interested in revisiting the 1990s. But I didn’t like any of the major candidates. I thought about leaving the ballot blank. But I figured it was irresponsible not to vote at all for President. So Jill Stein is my choice. I voted on the Working Families line for the rest of the candidates.

I’m just glad I don’t have to pay attention to the horse race or politics any more through Election Day …
