June 13, 2016 Evening

Good evening! Currently mostly cloudy and 60 degrees in Albany. Breezy, 17 mph breeze from the west-northwest. Pretty cool for mid-June and sun has generally be quite limited today.

Partly cloudy and cool for tonight. Look for a low around 49. Northwest wind 7 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. The normal low for tonight is 56, so it will be about seven degrees above normal. The record low of 39 occurred back in 1970.

Tonight the sun will set at 8:34 pm with dusk around 9:09 pm, which is 27 seconds later than yesterday. We are slowing down on our daylight, as we prepare in a week to start seeing shorter days every day. Tonight we have a Waxing Gibbous Moon with 60% illuminated. The moon will set around 2:49 am. June’s Strawberry Moon is next Monday.

Right now the weekend looks good but humid. Both Saturday and Sunday will be sunny. On Saturday look for a high near 81. For Father Day, look for a high near 83. Good weather for barbecuing with dad. Typical average high for the weekend is 79 degrees.

In four weeks on July 11 the sun will be setting at 8:32 pm, which is 1 minute earlier then today. The average high is 82 degrees, and the record for that date is 98 degrees was set back in 1936.
