Monday, I’m a survivor 😎

It would be a nice day to ride my bike to work. But maybe that truck will go tonight. But probably not. I needed groceeries regardless, and tomorrow I can ride in.

Good morning, Happy Monday. Driving in this morning so I can swing by Walmart this morning, get a few dry goods, 🏬 then head into the office for work, then I am going out to my parents house for a belated Sunday dinner before their vacation and to show the truck off to someone who might be interested. 🀝Maybe it will get sold today or maybe not. 🀷Somehow it will get sold or scrapped. πŸ—‘ But I want to give it at least a few weeks at the new price. πŸ€‘You just got to keep trying and staying atop the messages, even if it just means a default reply. βœ‰οΈ Just another I am sure insane day at work, writing code, building tibbles and data frames, producing data joins and outputting lists. πŸ€ͺ Auto adds, and suppressions, please? Sign-off?

It was nice wandering around the Pine Hollow Arboretum last night, 🌲 🌺 even as wildflowers really start to fade away and darkness approaches earlier πŸŒ† as the first day of autumn is only a few days off, next Monday to be exact, when there will be more darkness then light. Winter is coming, I need to plug the leaks in my apartment before I turn on and start loosing too much heat. Still I’ll be glad once the noise of the motorcycles 🏍 and ricer cars 🏎 and diesel trucks 🚚 is muted πŸ”‡ with the windows closed. Road noise just annoys me more and more these days. I can’t imagine people can afford to be driving their diesel around, but then again those people with the big throaty diesel trucks probably can afford the fuel.

I want to get out to Vermont come Thursday evening, but it sure looks like rain on Thursday and maybe Sunday. 🌦 Maybe instead I drive out on Friday early, get camp set up early and then spend the day working remote from Bennington. I don’t know but regardless I am sure I will be super busy. That’s just the way things are now, making money, money, money as it seems to go out the door nearly as fast. πŸ’Έ It’s been a somewhat disappointing summer with the investments, things have grown, and I’m better off now then I was before I bought the SuperDuty but growth as slowed as bond prices have cooled as rates have increased. πŸ“‰ Means I”m going to end up paying more in capital gains at the end of the year, even as I just invest them, as when bond prices fall, yields rise. βš– But I also don’t trust the stock market to necessarily end much up in valuations, as the AI boom is faltering, but what’s the alternative.
