Looking forward to trying out the SuperDuty on the hills of Schoharie County
Big Red had a stock gear ratio of 3.43 with the 35s and it was a dog both climbing up the hills and strained the brakes going down the hills. I don’t think this will be an issue with the F-350 with the 3.73 gear ratio on 33s – and the bigger 6.8L engine with 10 speeds that automatically downshift when going down long downgrades without going into tow-haul mode. I won’t use eco-mode, though honestly, I haven’t used it much after initial use as it only just makes the truck a dog on the hills, without saving much. Should be fun when I get out to hills of Schoharie County and the Finger Lakes.
