I guess it’s back to Wally World today π
Forgot to get glass chalk to mark up Big Red before putting him out on the road this afternoon with a for sale sign. I should wash him down – I can ask dad if I can use the hose, then write on the windshield what I’m looking for. Be up front about the rust issue but note no lights on dash and AC blows cold. $4.5k for the truck and cap, $3.5k without the cap.
Literally theΒ moment I popped into the drive, π‘ I realized my mistake. I also realized I forgot cider vinegar and could use some more flour and eggs π₯ too. Go through a lot of eggs, but they’re a cheap source of protein now that eggs have come down in price, and I use them for making pancakes, cornmeal pancakes, and eggs too. Plus I’ve been getting a lot of salsa in the big plastic bottles and that’s been using them up. π³ Someday when I live out in the country, I’ll have chickens. π
Got Big Red listed up on Auto Trader and cars.com π» and today I will wash, gas up, and top of the windshield fluid reservior on the truck. The one guy interested in looking at the truck π I’ll call him up to see if he’s still interested again. Otherwise, it’s out there on the street for anyone ot look. I got to explore neighborhood groups and forums, and seperately listing the truck cap. There is a lot of rusty, beat old Silverados out there, so it’s going to be a challenge to get people’s attention, but there is still the Carvanas, Cash4Cars and other corporate buyers as a fall back should September roll around with no buyers. πͺ
First going to do the normal Sunday bike ride over to the Arboretum π³ for a walk, and then I’ll come home, shower πΏ and head to Wally World for those things, particularly the glass chalk. I could bring a cooler for the eggs, or just get them on the bike π΅ββοΈ ride home on Monday. I could stop at Hannaford on Monday’s commute, I do need to stay a bit after 5 PM as I have a special robo call π to run then. Maybe have a quick dinner and ride out to Five Rivers via Meads Lane. Didn’t do any adjustments to the bike yesterday, I decided it was running well enough. Rained a lot in afternoon into the evening, I was at the library working from the SuperDuty π§βπ» on listing Big Red plus fixing a long standing bug on the blog on certain versions of Google Chrome. Mid-day after Wally World, I might do a quick hike up Blodgett Hill, I love seeing the Pitch Pine and Scrub Oak up there. π²
Other then that, I’m up and going. π₯ Pancakes this morning with carrots π₯ though my grater is still missing. Has to be in the back of my truck, I was looking around unsuccessfully. It’s been missing since Piseco-Powley Road on the start of Independence Weekend, but I don’t think I left it there as I looked around camp for things left behind. Probably slid behindd something. Cherry-berry blend pulverized with the carrots in the food processor, stevia, eegs, and whole wheat flour. It was good. π΄ Coffee helped β but still tired. Woke up in the middle of the night choking on the bad air quality as the last of wildfire smoke pushed out with the heavy rain. This morning is a beautiful sunny day, cool for sure. Monday looks good, but more rain for Tuesday into Wednesday. Thursday I’ll probably drive into work, ποΈ and head to camp if I take off Friday. Pretty sure I am going to do a long weekend, and then subsequent week head out to the Finger Lakes, though I haven’t taken that week off yet.
