And then the muggers arrive 🫠

Mostly cloudy and hazy this morning, and while the dew points haven’t done all their climbing, it’s already a good summer swelter this morning though nothing like the second half of the week.

Going to shower 🚿 and head in a bit on the bike. Still nothing from Ruth’s and my hope of getting the truck cap for this week is rapidly deminishing. It’s fine, I’ll have all weekend to go to Gas Up 🚜 and maybe hammock camp up in the woods. πŸ•οΈ Going toΒ  be a good weekend for that. And then use the 3-day weekend over Juneteenth to hopefully get the truck wired up. I’m hoping by next week it comes. That said, I’m ready to spring into action the day it’s avaliable. I’ll go to car wash, get my bed good and clean, and figure out which day to drive in and get the metal bar for mounting the solar.

Yesterday after work, I rode over to Five Rivers 🐸 and by the time I was leaving realized I brushed into some poison ivy when I saw my right arm starting to break out in a rash. Washed it down good last night, and already it seems like the poison ivy rash is going away – the urishol didn’t get a lot of time to soak in. I always keep a careful eye on that because I am quite allergic to it. πŸ€ Seems like there has been a lot more poison ivy this spring around. Busy day at work, just seemed like one project and issue after another came to my desk. Even busier then Monday. πŸ–₯️

Going to be hot this evening. 🫠 Last night I wasn’t home until after 9 PM as I spent the blanace of the evening reading πŸ“š at Five Rivers but tonight I’m not sure I want to do that. I could get eggs πŸ₯š, carrots πŸ₯• and a few other supplies at Hannaford on the ride home, β›ˆοΈ assuming the weather is okay for riding home. The cold would feel good after riding out of the gorge. πŸ˜₯ But maybe I’ll find out that my cap was delivered and he can install it tomorrow so I need to run to Glenmont Car Wash tonight and also Walmart and maybe down to Hudson River for hammock time. That’s probably wishful thinking. Still hoping maybe they can do the install on Friday, and Thursday I’ll drive in to both beat the heat in my well air conditioned SuperDuty, and get the aluminum bar I need for mounting that second solar panel. Who knows, more likely I’ll just head home, and if the weather is okay, go out to Town Park and sit under the tree with an e-book on my phone until dusk. And then get to sleep next to the box fan working hard. βš›οΈ Or so I tell myself.
