Trump Lives and Dies Based on Public Support

In times like this when it seems like Trump is the power broker who is unchallengable, one must remember that it’s ultimately the public support and perception of the man that keeps him a viable politician. The reason he is winning is because he has big block of strong supporters and others who are willing to go along, but such support is not guaranteed for the future.

Even people who don’t read the polls now the ziegesit of the day. Politicians certainly read the polls and can feel the ziegesit of the day. Should Trump see significant reductions in his public support, it is almost inevitable that he will lose the deference of Congress and the Courts, and without their support he will see his power whittled away. Just because a landscape looks like it currently does in this cold snowy winter, doesn’t mean it will last this way forever.
