Good Morning – October 27, 2021

Good morning! What day is it? Hopefully not Pump Day, of course. ⛽

Well, I sure hope you don’t have to get gas today, 😱 it’s a big scary at the gas pump these days. I filled up last week, well part of the way, and it was way too much money. Rain is dun for now, but the wind is whipping around, and it’s cold and damp out. 🌧 Much better later. 😎

Mostly cloudy and 52 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁ There is a north breeze at 13 mph. 🍃 with gusts up to 23 mph 💨💨💨. The dew point is 47 degrees. The skies will clear around noontime.

This morning looks okay for taking the express bus to work 🚌 🏃🚏, I just need to make sure not this time to forget my muzzle and have to turn back. 😷 That was so obnoxious on Monday. Hopefully, soon we won’t have wear muzzles, as mine are starting to get a bit worn. Lynne Jackson’s muzzles are comfortable, but they are still muzzles. That said, I don’t mind so much when people cough when I’m on the bus, with everybody wearing their muzzle. 🤧

I am thinking of taking off Thursday for a personal day ☺️ mainly because I have so much things to get done, namely getting the new tires ordered for the truck and an appointment for getting the shock repaired on the rear side.

I decided against taking off next week, 🗳 although Tuesday is a holiday for Election Day. Saturday and Sunday look quite wet, and not a fun time to start off a trip.  I might work on some local election stuff over the weekend, and I have a meeting to attend next Wednesday. I am pretty sure though that I will take off the following week — I might request it off today, just so it’s set on the calendar.

I am thinking the following week, Veterans Day week, 🏕 to head out to Cazenovia for a few days, then down to the Finger Lakes for the balance of the week, and then maybe down to Pennsylvania the following weekend to check out some of the camping opportunities in Loyalstock State Forest — the ones I posted maps to yesterday. Those maps show all the campsites that are drive in, and will fit a smaller camper. Probably wouldn’t camp there, as I don’t have a permit and it’s hard to pick a site unseen, but maybe next summer I’ll get a permit 🎫 to camp there for part of my summer vacation. ☺️
