Good morning! Happy Thursday. Partly sunny and 69 degrees at the Green Mountain National Forest. Calm wind. The dew point is 66 degrees. The muggy weather ends Wednesday around 3 am. πŸ˜“

Today is going to be a hot one even in the Green Mountains, 🏊 but it should have lots of sun for solar so I can run my fan all day at work, have cold drinks and go for a swim. Seems like there is a good mountain breeze which should help too.

Today will have isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny 🌞, with a high of 81 degrees at 3pm. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around July 1st. Maximum dew point of 66 at 8am. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 86 degrees. The record high of 103 was set in 1936.

Solar noon 🌞 is at 12:58 pm with sun having an altitude of 69.4Β° from the due south horizon (-1.1Β° vs. 6/21). Not a particularly nice weekend on tap. 😞 Saturday, showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 73. South wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible. Maximum dew point of 68 at 1pm. Sunday, showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Maximum dew point of 67 at 9am. Typical average high for the weekend is 82 degrees.

I plan on heading home on Saturday 🏑 most likely. This weekend I want to see if I can get to the hardware store and find some soft window screen material to patch the hole in the screen tent. πŸŽͺ I am fairly good at sewing from taking Homos and Queers, as they called it back in high school. 🏫 I fix my work clothes all the time. Then I also want to think about when I want to take off a week from work of true vacation – no working or emails or even having cell service.
