Good morning! Happy First Day of Winter βοΈ! Winter Solstice Ski 🎿trip today for Save the Pine Bush at 9:30 at the end of Madison Avenue Extension. Already the days are getting longer and next Saturday is 4:30 PM Sunset 🌆. Cloudy and 11 degrees in Delmar, NY. Calm wind. β There are 2.5 inches of snow on the ground. β οΈThings will start to thaw out at tomorrow around 10 am. 🌡οΈ
Today will be partly sunny 🌞, with a high of 30 degrees at 1pm. Four degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. I am hoping we will have more sun for the Pine Bush Hike! A year ago, we had light rain in the morning, which became mostly clear by afternoon. The high last year was 62 degrees. The record high of 62 was set in 2018. 6.6 inches of snow fell back in 2008.β

The record low of -8 occurred back in 1955.
As previously noted, next Saturday is 4:30 PM Sunset 🌆 when the sun will be setting at 4:29 pm with dusk at 5:01 pm. On that day in 2018, we had rain showers, cloudy, mild and temperatures between 50 and 35 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 32 degrees. We hit a record high of 61 back in 1982.
