Good morning! Happy Sunday on this most beautiful day. Three weeks to National Nude Day πŸ‘±. Mostly sunny and 64 degrees at Perkins Clearing. There is a northwest breeze at 10 mph. πŸƒ. The dew point is 46 degrees. Breezy for sure, but it’s nice in the hammock.

Slept into 8:30 after the most starry of nights πŸŒƒ then started to take down camp made up eggs for breakfast. Camp stove has a gas leak, it melted a hole in the table. I’m going to have to take apart the stove and fix the leak and patch the table. It’s such a nice day on the hammock but I can’t be lazy like yesterday and lay on it all day. Already producing over 50 watts through the solar panel.

Today will be sunny 🌞, with a high of 77 degrees at 3pm. Three degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 13th. Maximum dew point of 48 at 6pm. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. A year ago, we had light rain in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 69 degrees. The record high of 96 was set in 1888.

The sun will set at 8:42 pm with dusk around 9:18 pm, which is 9 seconds later than yesterday. πŸŒ‡ At sunset, look for clear skies πŸŒ„ and temperatures around 68 degrees. The dew point will be 49 degrees. There will be a west-northwest breeze at 7 mph. Today will have 15 hours and 25 minutes of daytime, an increase of 9 seconds over yesterday.

Once I get packed, I will head over to Spectator hike the nature trail and then go for a paddle on the Sacandaga River.🚀 Blustery today but hopefully the river itself won’t be too choppy. After padding I’ll probably try out the swimming beach to get washed up a bit before heading home. πŸƒ

Tonight will be mostly clear πŸŒƒ, with a low of 47 degrees at 5am. 12 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 17th. West wind 3 to 7 mph. In 2018, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It became humid as the night progressed. It got down to 61 degrees. The record low of 44 occurred back in 1932.

As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until National Nude Day πŸ‘± when the sun will be setting at 8:37 pm with dusk at 9:11 pm. On that day in 2018, we had hot, humid, partly sunny, rain showers and temperatures between 88 and 72 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 83 degrees. We hit a record high of 99 back in 1995.
