The current wind chill is 2. There are some isolated piles of snow on the ground. ☃ ️Things will start to thaw out at Friday around noontime. 🌡️

Today will be mostly sunny 🌞, with a high of 23 degrees at 2pm. 15 degrees below normal. Maximum wind chill around 9 at 3pm; Northwest wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Definitely going to be a cold late February day. But with El Nino, I expect a fairly mild spring after the current pattern relents. It will happen but maybe not in the next few days. A year ago, we had mostly sunny. The high last year was 51 degrees. That must have been nice. The record high of 63 was set in 1976. 8.4 inches of snow fell back in 1972.❄

In 2018, we had clear in the evening, which became mostly sunny by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 28 degrees. The record low of -13 occurred back in 1940.

Today will be a fairly modestly busy day at work with session. I don’t expect to get home all that early tonight 🏡 but it will probably be too cold for the evening walk again tonight. 🚶Polished my new shoes up before work, they look nice. With all the road salt these days, frequent polishing is necessary.

Continuing to experiment with voltage dividers for my smart relay I’m building for my truck. 🔌 Also spent about an hour on my exercise bike watch videos and listening to podcasts. 🚲 I made up this pork dish 🐷I got from the store that was easy to cook and fairly good too. Skipped my evening walk as it was too windy and cold.

Didn’t see any wind damage around home 🍃💨so that was a good thing. Still breezy this morning but nothing like the roars I would occasionally hear from my office. I heard some other places in the building were noisier. My apartment creaked a bit with the wind but leaving the heat turned up yesterday kept it from getting too cold. Hopefully it will warm up soon so I can permanently turn off the heat for the year.

On that day in 2018, we had hot and humid weather, mostly sunny skies, patches of fog and temperatures between 96 and 69 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 83 degrees. We hit a record high of 97 back in 1900. I bet this summer will be a scorcher too.
