April 21, 2018 Morning
Good morning! The birds are chirping and it’s a sunny but cold morning. Two weeks to Cinco de Mayo 🤠. Hopefully spring will spring by then. Sunny and 36 degrees in Delmar, NY. 🌞 There is a northwest breeze at 6 mph. 🍃.
Today will be sunny 🌞 , with a high of 55 degrees at 4pm. Six degrees below normal. Not warm but enough to warrant keeping the windows open in my opinion. Northwest wind 6 to 13 mph. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high last year was 57 degrees. The record high of 89 was set in 1923. 0.6 inches of snow fell back in 1947.β
The sun will set at 7:44 pm with dusk around 8:14 pm, which is one minute and 8 seconds later than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for clear skies and 50 degrees. There will be a northwest breeze at 11 mph. Today will have 13 hours and 41 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 41 seconds over yesterday.
Tonight will be clear 🌌, with a low of 29 degrees at 5am. 11 degrees below normal. So much for spring coming soon, that’s going to be another hard frost.🌁 Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight. In 2017, we had light rain in the evening, remaining overcast into the early morning. It got down to 43 degrees. The record low of 20 occurred back in 1947.
Today I have to work but hopefully I’ll get back at a reasonable hour.💼 Got a good night’s sleep but still dealing with a minor cough. 😴 Weather wise it should be a good day, although a bit cool.
This evening I will dig out the soldering iron, fix the wire for the clock chip on my home version of my message sign, 📺then maybe add a few more modules to the sign and hang on the wall. Then I have to come up with more funny sayings and phrases but the internet should help me with that.
I hope finally the next few days I’ll be able to have the windows open during the day, even if the nights are mad cold. I really enjoy the fresh air. 🐥And being able to hear the birds in the morning.
As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Cinco de Mayo 🤠 when the sun will be setting at 8:00 pm with dusk at 8:31 pm. On that day in 2017, we had rain, drizzle, mist, cloudy skies and temperatures between 54 and 44 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 66 degrees. We hit a record high of 91 back in 1944.
