Finished wiring up and testing the new control board for my VMS display for at home.💻 It works as far as I can tell although I have yet to test it with a display module but all the connections are made.

The GPS logger is working fairly well based on the logs produced, although on some days it has trouble getting a GPS signal inside my truck. But other than that it’s quietly logging away at my various trips. 📜 It will be great for capturing the routes I take on summer road trips.

Sunday dinner is was pretty good. Mom made bean soup and hard rolls.🍛 Good stuff. I left fairly early as I don’t like driving after dark on rural roads and I was worried about the ice on the road.

Continuing to read that book about off grid and energy efficient living. A lot of things I didn’t think much about. 🔋I camp a lot and know quite a bit about low voltage power but I’m still learning a lot. Never knew how important insulation, especially vapor barriers are to a warm house. As recently as 50 years ago, insulation and heat loss in buildings was poorly understood by most people. A lot of energy goes into heating and even if you heat with wood you get off your own land you really don’t want to be wasting it. 🔥
