Early on in the coronavirus pandemic, health officials highlighted the importance of disinfecting surfaces in order to curb the spread of COVID-19. However, throughout the year, studies emerged suggesting surfaces weren’t a major cause of transmission. But we still did it. And all the deep cleaning might be causing more harm than good.
