Thirteenth Lake is a popular destination in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness, that can be driven too and accessed without too much hiking. Around the lake, there are paddle-in or hike-in campsites every 1/4 mile pursuant to the APSLMP. These are the pictures I took on that particular Friday in April.

Balm of Gilead Mountain. Looking at it from the shore of the 13th Lake in the Adirondacks. I had wanted to climb it, but I was confused about how you access it (from Old Farm Road Trailhead), but my map from DEC didn't show that correctly.

Accessible Campsite on 13th Lake. There are three accessible campsites on the one end of the lake, via P-Gravel paths, but like all accessible campsites in NY State, anybody is free to use them.

Across 13th Pond. You can see the tree starting to bud up in the foreground, and how rapidly the morning's blue skies are turning to grey.
