Point Au Roche
on August 15, 2010.

Point Au Roche State Park is located on these beautiful penisulas that stick out into Lake Champlain about 8 miles from Plattsburgh. These are the pictures I took on that particular Sunday in August.

... locations of photos are estimates that were done using heads-up digitizing.

Deep Bay at Camp Cloud Road. This is just from the Camp Cloud Road. I so love Point Au Roche.

Red Building. Along a gravel trail heading out along Conner Bay. I wanted to put a kayak out on Connor Bay, but it was much too rough.

Two Foot Waves on Connors Bay. There is no way I was going to put a kayak in there. Maybe some very calm day, I'll be brave enough to go kayaking in a bay at Point Au Roche, close to the shore, but not today.

The End of Short Point. I didn't dare go out there, fall off, and drown in the 3-4 foot waves and 50+ mph. Calmer days in the fall, I've been almost out to the end.
