Long Pond State Forest is located on the border of Chenango and Broome County, and is one of the largest ponds on public land with eight designed roadside campsites along one edge of the pond. These are the pictures I took on that particular Thursday in July.

Lots of Great Blue Herons. There where a ton of them on the western end of the pond, as it's one of the few large "wild" water bodies in the area ...
