The Jessup River Wild Forest and lands of International Paper (Perkins Clearing) north of Speculator. There are 12 primitive campsites on Mason Lake, right south of the intersection of NY 30 and Jessup Lake Road, along with a scattering of designated sites in International Paper Easement. These are the pictures I took on that particular Saturday in July.

Unisex Toilet. Really? Taxpayers paid money for that sign? I would have expected that their would be an outhouse for females and males, at the French Trailhead for West Canada Wilderness and the Pillsbury Mountain Trailhead.

Fire Place and Clearing for Helicopter Landing. Most of the Adirondack Firetowers have a clearing designed for a helicopter to land on them. Pillsbury is no exception, although it lacks a formal helipad, in part because its pretty hard rock around the tower.
