Recently Cut Area. This is just off Harvey Mountain Truck Trail, in the section below Harvey Mountain. Some great open views on this portion of truck trail, just don't drive off it into the valley -- no guard rail protection!

Harvey Mountain Truck Trail. This is the portion that now appears to be gated. I do not know if this truck trail is open during the summer. The map shows it as an open truck trail. Regardless, it was very snow covered this time of year.

Decending an Unnamed Hill. Part of the gated/snow covered portion of Harvey Mountain Truck Trail, goes around and partially over a small hill, then drops into a ravine, until finally one climbs up Harvey Mountain. The truck trail is not much of a hike, no more 9/10th of a mile and only a 150 foot climb.

Heading Up Harvey Mountain. The truck trail winds up to the top of Harvey Mountain. Not too bad of a climb, and it opens up quickly.

Rocks Peaking Out of Snow. The truck trail had some of the snow melting off it. The rocks up are pretty sharp to say the least.

Almost to the Top. Climbing up the truck trail. It would be neat to drive up here in the summer, if it ever was open.

Tom Ball Mountain. Watching the snow squall role on it. So much for it being spring. Didn't feel like spring up here either.

Blueberry Fields. There are a lot of blueberry bushes on top of Harvey Mountain, not that they have much fruit this time of year.

Campsite No 6. Its kind of too bad you have to get a permit to camp here. Moreover the sites lack any facilities, they do not even have campfire rings.

1.5 Miles to Harvey via Hiking Trail. This is down along the start of the Harvey Mountain Truck Trail. I have also gone up Harvey Mountain this way in the past, and don't really have a preference one way or another, although with this trail it's longer, and the elevation gain is greater.

Roadside Camping By Permit Only. Kind of lame, although I guess it's great that at least there are these 6 minimally developed roadside sites.
