Allegheny National Forest
on November 11, 2010.

Located in North Western Pennsylvania, the massive Allegany National Forest is a mixture of truck trails with roadside camping, vast expanses of land, campgrounds, oil wells, hunting grounds, and the Allegany Reservoir. These are the pictures I took on that particular Thursday in November.

Forest Service Route 262. This being a scenic route, camping prohibited along it except in campgrounds. In other areas, road side camping is allowed, and sites are moderately developed although have nothing besides built up rock fire rings.

A more Developed Oil Field. There are so many oil wells in this one section of forest, there is actually a service road that runs directly to all of the wells.
