October 10, 2017 Night

Good evening! Mostly clear and 66 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-northwest breeze at 7 mph. The dew point is 55 degrees. A pretty nice evening. If I was parked in the normal spot I would have sat out back but instead I’m inside laying on my bed listening to podcasts. 

Tonight will have patchy fog after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low of 53 degrees at 5am. 12 degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 55 at 9pm. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Nice weather for sleeping with the windows open. In 2016, we had clear skies. It got down to 33 degrees. Much cooler weather.  The record low of 22 occurred back in 1943.

Tonight will have a Waning Gibbous Moon with 65% illuminated. The moon will set tomorrow at 1:24 pm. The Last Quarter Moon is on Thursday night with a chance of showers. The Beaver Moon is on Friday, November 3rd. The sun will rise at 7:03 am with the first light at 6:35 am, which is one minute and 9 seconds later than yesterday. Tonight will have 12 hours and 44 minutes of darkness, an increase of 2 minutes and 50 seconds over last night.

The record high of 86 was set in 1949. There was a dusting of snow in 1987.

Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 61 at 4pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 61 degrees. Thursday morning I’ll decide if I should try to get next week off.
