October 1, 2016 Afternoon

Thinking about how I’m going to get to West Virginia on my autumn trip down there.Β I don’t think I will have enough daylight to make it down there on my first day,Β so I have to figure out a stop over somewhere in Pennsylvania.

I’m thinking about Bald Eagle State Park in Centre County, Penna, which is near Lockport and State College. They have campsites with electricity for $15-17 and are open year round.Β This would give myΒ inverterΒ a break and would mean a hot shower in the morning.

From there, i would hop on the Bud Shuster’s expressway, the I-99 that cuts through the hills, releasing acid mine discharger stronger then battery acid, and head down to West Virginia via that short section of US 220 and I-68 through Cumberland which is a clusterfuck of an expressway with sharp curves and steep hills.

Then maybe spend the second night at Camp Run Campground in Fort Seybert, WV. I should make it there before it gets too dark out, if all goes well, and I don’t take too many side trips on my way down there.

Then there is WestΒ Virginia. I have a list of places I want to go to but, I think about them some more. Maybe a future post.
