Good morning! March in Trump’s America. Sixty days have expired in 2017. Two weeks to Ides of March. Twenty until calendar spring. Overcast and 54 degrees in Delmar, NY. Really too warm for my wool overcoat but rain is expected later and I want to keep my overcoat dry. There is a south breeze at 10 mph. The dew point is 50 degrees. The skies will clear around 6 pm. Might be a good evening for tailgate drinking and looking up at the sky for all the stars.

Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Cloudy, with a record breaking high of 64 degrees at 4pm. 26 degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 55 at 1pm. Not a big wash out but cloudy and mild. Southwest wind 10 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had rain and a high of 38 degrees. The record high of 61 was set in 1991. 10.7 inches of snow fell back in 2005.

Today marks 231 years since the adoption of the Articles of Confederation that were never formally repealed pursuant to the procedures in them but are basically ignored since the passage of the constitution. There were many problems with that document but it helped to limit the scope and size of the federal government.

Remington and Sons in Ilion, New York begins production of the first practical typewriter. One year before then, Yellowstone National Park is established as the world’s first national park. And in 1893,  Electrical engineer Nikola Tesla gives the first public demonstration of radio in St. Louis, Missouri.
