November 1, 2015 evening

Evening seemed to come particularly early this eveningΒ now that Daylight Savings Time is just a memory and the sun sets so early. In case you were wondering, the sunset was at 4:48 PM tonight. Currently 49 degrees under clear conditions and no wind, so it’s almost perfect for sitting out back with a cold one, if you have a sweater on.

The good news is that with the time change, the sun will be rising tomorrow morning at 6:30 AMΒ which at least means for us 9-5 workers the sun will be up by the time we get up to go to work. It will be dark for the commute home, but that means at least we won’t have the sun in our eyes for the evening commute, unless you work 8-4 PM. Tomorrow will be not quite as warm as today, with a high expected around 60 degrees in Delmar, and a few degrees warmer in the city. Wednesday, we might reach 70 degrees.

The weekend sure went by quickly … But next week looks like we will have some delightful weather. If you can get some time off from work, then take full advantage of it.

View from My College Dorm Room

The first year I stayed at Plattsburgh State I had a dorm room on the ninth floor of Wilson Hall. In the foreground is Ruger Woods and the Saranac River which ran just past my dorm. Beyond it is Plattsburgh High School Football field, along with the Adirondack Mountains. The gap in the distance is between Pokomoonshine and Bigelow Mountain, where the Adirondack Northway goes past Butternut Pond and climbs into the Adirondacks.

November 1, 2015 morning

Good morning. Happy November. Where did the time go? Right now we have a rainy start to November with some rain showers moving through this morning in Delmar. 48 degrees.

Later we are looking for 60 degrees and partly cloudy with some clearing later. Not a terrible day for the first of November. I wish it was a bit sunnier but beggars can’t be choosers. Certainly the weather ain’t bad for November 1st.

Enjoy your Sunday and remember tomorrow it’s back to work.
