It might still be wintry like in the Adirondacks, but the loons are out there singing their songs.
This is one of the three campsites on Garnet Road. All of them are 30 feet above the road on a ledge. Most or all have vehicular access blocked off, so you have to park in the parking area, for the trail head to Round Pond.

One of the best parts of the internet, is you can go to the Adirondacks without even leaving home. Some beautiful country along the Mill Creek, which runs on the backside of Crane Mountain.

On the state land along the east side, there are several clearings where there once where extra campsites developed. These areas, besides the section where the road runs right on the edge of the lake, gives you a good view of Ross Mountain, and just out of the frame, Mount Blue.
