The autumn of 1963 was a pretty cold one in Albany, we broke several record lows that year, with temperatures well below freezing on several mornings in late September 1963. Overall, 1963 is the coldest September with complete records at the Albany International Airport. 1835 was recorded as being slightly colder, but those observations were done downtown rather in then Colonie. The coldest September morning in Albany was September 24 and 25 during 1947, when temperatures dropped down to 24 degrees.
