Good Morning – October 4, 2021

Good morning! Happy Last Sunset After 6:30 PM ๐ŸŒ† !

On a rainy morning it’s particularly dark but then again the evenings are also pretty dark. Winter is coming. But first a Monday. My goal is to make it to work on time and duck everything up as I stumble around.

Rain showers and 60 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” Calm wind. The dew point is 58 degrees. More rain later.

It looks like I might be able to walk down to the express bus without getting soaked ๐ŸŒง assuming the rain hold off until I get to the office. For a while during the overnight hours it was absolutely pouring. But it at least wasn’t cold with the windows open. I refuse to close my windows at night, as I like the fresh air โฌœ although some mornings lately have been rather cold as the mercury has fallen into the upper 30s by morning a few days last week. But I sleep so much better with the windows open.

This was kind of a stay at home weekend, the highlight of the weekend was going to the grocery store ๐ŸŠ so that I had food in my pantry. Spent a lot of the weekend reading and learning, studying up on using Python for making graphs and charts, along with maps and GIS things. I did go for the evening walk on Saturday and down to the library, but Sunday rained a lot so I spent my focus on learning as much as I could. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ A lot of Saturday wasn’t bad, but my gas tank is relatively empty, โ›ฝ and I don’t have any money, so that’s kind of a problem especially if Big Red’s suspension is getting fixed in two weeks and I’m spending $3,000 on tires and repairs for my truck this month. ๐Ÿ’ธ I don’t know what the alternative is — it’s a bad time to buy a new truck, and it’s not like my truck is that old, having less then 100,000 miles — and I’m not quite ready yet to give up motoring, although I do less and less of that lately. I just know that every time you get in your car, ๐Ÿš˜ it’s like smoking a cigarette ๐Ÿšฌ, slowly killing yourself assuming you don’t crash and the environment one toke at a time, says the boy with the big jacked up truck who burns his trash rather then recycling. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

After reading that book on personal finance, ๐Ÿ“• and crunching the numbers ๐Ÿ“ I think I am going to get away from saving much more in CDs and high-interest savings, and move towards bonds to balance my portfolio. Not planning any big bond purchases in the short term, until at least my CD expires and the markets go back up — better to buy bonds when the stock market is strong as it depresses bond prices — but I think I will replace a big portion of my ordinary paycheck-to-paycheck FDIC savings with bond fund purchases, as I think that’s a better idea on the long haul, and I have too much put into savings with so little interest these days. Plus, I will roll back the rate on savings, but I am lately just struggling so much to pay the bills lately. ๐Ÿ“„ It just seems like everything is going up in price lately.

I am really trying to master the Python graphing and mapping ๐Ÿ—บ libraries, as I think being able to make quality graphics and maps on the fly is such an important skill to master – along with being able to process and make maps. I’m pretty good but there are still skills I could get better at. ๐Ÿ–ฅ It’s not about being a computer geek but just being able to effectively promote and manipulate data.

Good Morning – September 14, 2021

Good morning! Happy Tuesday. All I can think about is those gigham dressers they had prominently displayed at Walmart last night ๐Ÿ‘—

I think it takes white trash to a new level. I’ve been known to buy abs wear Wrangler shirts and jeans from Wally World but I can’t imagine the purpose of such a dress – they look terrible and aren’t very good if you are milking a cow, shoveling manure, riding an ATV or anything else a country gal would be doing. Except maybe if you are emulating Ed Koch and drive a big jacked up truck and kind of like the Chinese food in Canastota.

Partly cloudy and 54 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ›… Calm wind. The dew point is 52 degrees.

Nice morning today, โ˜€ cool but sunny. Very autumn like. ๐Ÿ‚ Running ๐Ÿƒ a bit late on my morning walk but either I’ll catch the earlier bus ๐Ÿš or not downtown. This hour is a bit better for air quality as there are fewer cars idling around the high school ๐Ÿšธ. I’ll have to take a quick shower ๐Ÿšฟ.

I went to the store after work yesterday ๐Ÿช got coffee โ˜• and a few other needed supplies. ๐Ÿฅฃ I washed my truck. ๐Ÿ›ป I recommend avoiding US 9W and Glenmont Road, especially at night because there are long delays at least at night.

As I was mentioning last night ๐Ÿ–ฅ, I feel like I am running up a bit against a wall trying to figure out how to produce those really nice charts and graphs ๐Ÿ“Š in Python and R, but I know it’s powerful technology if I can master it.

Today I need to make some calls about my truck ๐Ÿ›ป or maybe at lunch time catch a bus up to the off road shop to see about ordering the tires and talk to them about the alignment. If I want to do vacation in four weeks it needs to get done, especially ordering the tires. โšซ I’m not sure I want to be driving 70 mph in rural Pennsylvania with dry rotted tires plus I think by the time I get the new tires put on I’ll be down to the wear bands on all four. Winter is coming, traction isn’t optional. โ„

November 14, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Saturday. Its the weekend in Biden’s ‘merica! No malarkey allowed. Working from home it doesn’t seem like that big of a change but I don’t have to check my work email as much on Saturday. ๐Ÿ“ง Next Saturday is Regular Deer Season in Southern Zone ๐ŸฆŒ. Pow! Pow! Overcast and 39 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ›… There is a west-northwest breeze at 9 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 10 pm. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Had a nice big ol pile of pancakes ๐Ÿฅž for breakfast, and coffee โ˜•. Breakfast was good. I’ve been having a lot of eggs and cereal ๐Ÿฅฃ lately so pancakes topped with frozen cherries ๐Ÿ’ is a good change. Lately frozen cherries have been my snack of choice – fairly healthy and they help reduce achiness now that I’m cooped ๐Ÿ” up in my apartment with November underway.

Trimmed my hair ๐Ÿ’‡๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ up again. I like being able to keep my hair a consistent length without the barber ๐Ÿ’ˆand then I can also compost or burn the waste hair. I don’t like when my hair gets too long and curly or gets matted from mud and sweat especially in the woods – and these days working remotely I don’t shower as much. ๐Ÿšฟ Last shower I took was Tuesday. ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐ŸปBathing ๐Ÿ›€ is nice, start to smell after a while.

I survived Friday the 13th in 2020 and both went for a morning and evening walk. Yesterday wasn’t a terrible day but it was cloudy and boring ๐Ÿ’ค working from home. I haven’t been on the Wi-Fi since Tuesday so I’m out of podcasts and videos to watch ๐Ÿ“บ but I guess that’s a good thing. I’ve been finding and downloading Coronavirus data and using it to make maps ๐Ÿ—บ and charts for the blog.

Been trying to get up and around more to avid getting so stiff and sore from my uncomfortable home work chair. ๐Ÿ’บ My neck and back have been feeling a lot better ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป since I’ve been making stretching activities during the work day more of a priority. At times now I stand at work or kneel on my knees at the desk to improve my posture.

Today will be cloudy โ˜๏ธ, then gradually becoming sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 46 degrees at 1pm. Three degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 20th. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 37 degrees. The record high of 70 was set in 1973. 14.4 inches of snow fell back in 1972.โ„ I heard maybe some snow flurries today but no big snow storms right away.

I am hoping it will clear out soon โ›… so it’s nice when I walk ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป out to Five Rivers ๐Ÿฆ. I know I need to leave relatively early today as it gets dark, early. Plus my battery ๐Ÿ”‹ bank is low on the truck so I want it to be topped off before I start my truck on Sunday to go out to the folks house. I haven’t driven anywhere since Monday at this point – which used to be the norm for me most weeks but since the pandemic started I’ve been driving ๐Ÿš˜ down to the library more to work with the Wi-Fi. ๐Ÿฆ‰

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 11:41 am with sun having an altitude of 29ยฐ from the due south horizon (-41.8ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 10.8 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 3:52 pm with the sun in the west-southwest (238ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (246ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 4:35 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 11 seconds with dusk around 5:03 pm, which is 55 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:39 pm. At sunset, look for clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 44 degrees. There will be a west-northwest breeze at 9 mph. Today will have 9 hours and 47 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 10 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 27 degrees at 2am. Five degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around November 30th. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening. In 2019, we had clear skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 32 degrees. The record low of 14 occurred back in 1939.

Cold but not unreasonable tonight. ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป I am sure I’ll probably go for a nice walk late this evening and maybe listen ๐ŸŽง to podcasts I downloaded while I’m at the Five Rivers Wi-Fi.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Small Business Saturday ๐Ÿ›๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 4:24 pm with dusk at 4:55 pm. On that day in 2019, we had partly cloudy and temperatures between 47 and 33 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 43 degrees. We hit a record high of 68 back in 1990.

NY 280

August 6, 2020 Night

Good evening! Partly clear and 70 degrees in Delmar, NY. Calm wind. The dew point is 58 degrees. ๐ŸŒƒ Another quite pleasant mid summer evening with the crickets ๐Ÿฆ— singing their song. ๐ŸŽถ

Called the forest service today ๐ŸŒฒ to confirm that camping ๐Ÿ• was still open after the earlier Coronavirus closure. It is.. Did some packing but the first half of the day I was super groggy for unknown reasons. ๐Ÿ˜ด Didn’t do the laundry ๐Ÿ‘š as I figured do it all on Friday while I work before heading out in the evening. Assuming tomorrow evening isn’t a complete washout.

I discovered I had accidentally deleted the code that allows me to display charts ๐Ÿ“Š and history comparisons today but if you hit refresh ๐Ÿ”„ that should be good now. Also uploaded a few other new things. Then it was a busy afternoon at work, getting things lined up before vacation. ๐Ÿ– Went to the Town Park and worked on the blog for a bit.

Tonight will be partly cloudy ๐ŸŒƒ , with a low of 58 degrees at 3am. Three degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around August 27th. Maximum dew point of 58 at 9pm. Light north wind. In 2019, we had partly cloudy skies. It was sticky. It got down to 69 degrees. The record low of 46 occurred back in 1994.

Tonight will have a Waining Gibbous ๐ŸŒ– Moon with 88% illuminated. The moon will rise at 10:08 pm. The darkest hour is at 1:02 am, followed by dawn at 5:22 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:54 am in the east-northeast (66ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 9 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 3 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:33 am with sun in the east-northeast (73ยฐ). Tonight will have 9 hours and 45 minutes of darkness, an increase of 2 minutes and 20 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have isolated showers, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 76 degrees at 3pm. Six degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around September 5th. Maximum dew point of 63 at 6pm. Light and variable wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, which became rain by afternoon. It was very sticky. The high last year was 84 degrees. The record high of 102 was set in 1918.

I started packing this evening and doing some cleaning during the downtime today. ๐Ÿงน The beer ๐Ÿป is in the fridge being chilled, I started packing clothes ๐Ÿ‘– and the water containers are loaded in the truck. I’ll do the kayak ๐Ÿ›ถ and propane tomorrow.

I am thinking of leaving tomorrow after work for Madison County ๐Ÿฎ but I might not leave until Saturday morning early if Friday night is going to be a real washout. While I’d rather be farther west and break the trip up going out there not if it means camping the first night in the pouring rain. โ›ˆ๏ธ I don’t want to get soaked my first night of camping. Still thinking about the mid state route via NY 13 and Cortland.

Weather looks pretty good for next week ๐Ÿ‘Œbased on the at least some forecast models but others show more clouds ๐ŸŒฅ and rain. It’s summer and it’s a crap shoot but if the weather is too bad I’ll just stay in camp and read ๐Ÿ“–. Nice thing about the National Forest is you can camp for up to two weeks, no permit needed.

Been drinking a lot more water ๐Ÿฅค with lemon juice in it. ๐Ÿ‹ Much healthier than all that apple ๐Ÿ juice I’ve been drinking lately. No sugar in it although I’m sure the acid ain’t great for the teeth but I still drink plenty of milk. ๐Ÿฅ›Plus a whole lot less plastic trash. โ™ป

In four weeks on September 3 the sun will be setting in the west (281ยฐ) at 7:25 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 43 minutes and 17 seconds earlier then tonight. Good evening! Partly cloudy with some fog ๐ŸŒ around but you can partially see the stars and 44 degrees in Dormansville, NY. โ›… Calm wind. Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 4 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Today was a pretty quiet day at my parents house. ๐Ÿ“– I stayed there with the dog ๐Ÿถ taking him out for a walk that totalled 1 1/2 miles. I didn’t mind the walk but he’s gotten very elderly and he was out back most of the day, sitting back next to the heater. He got a little too close to the heater and I started to smell dog hair burning but besides a little patch of sinenged hair he’s fine.

It rained โ˜” a lot more this afternoon than expected and I ended up heading inside with my laptop, researching and processing some new data for the blog. I haven’t made many Google Maps in a while and I’m still going through videos from vacation. ๐ŸŽฅ There is a lot of government data out there for making maps and charts ๐Ÿ“Š if you know where to look for it.

Knowing where to find government data ๐Ÿค not only helps me make content for the blog, it is helpful reference sometimes for work and I think ta good experience and knowledge that could be useful for future career opportunities especially after I leave the state for good. The more you practice the better you get at it. That’s why I’ve gotten so good at map making.

Maples Along Trail

May 22, 2018 Night

Good evening! Mostly cloudy but some breaks in the clouds so you can see the moon and 57 degrees inside my bedroom in Delmar, NY according to the display. 🌃There is a south breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. The dew point is 46 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 7 am.

Almost a bit cool to be sitting outside but I still like the fresh air and watching the faint artificial firefly lights dance on the lawn and the trees. Just sitting back listening to some music, ruminating about the day that was. I mean I have to use some of that free solar power I got today or otherwise tomorrow’s sunlight will just be discarded by solar controller. 🌝I checked and despite the clouds and rain the panel was still topping off the battery. It’s kind of pretty and calming but the damn motor in the firefly light is so noisy. 🐸Fine when you have headphones on but it does kind of disturb the peace.

Today wasn’t a half bad day at work. I expected a long day but that was not to be, I caught the five o’clock express bus home.💼 Moreover tomorrow is not a session day so no need to dress up. Going to be a nice morning tomorrow so I may try to get an early start😎 and walk down to the express bus.

Tonight will have a chance of showers, mainly before 4am. Patchy fog after 3am. Otherwise, cloudyโ˜ , with a low of 56 degrees at 2am. Seven degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 55 at 5am. South wind 5 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2017, we had cloudy skies, clearing in the early hours of the next day. It got down to 46 degrees. The record low of 36 occurred back in 1967.

Tonight will have a Waxing Gibbous Moon 🌔 with 62% illuminated. The moon will set at 2:37 am. The Flower Moon 🌕 is on Monday night with mostly clear skies. Definitely can smell the lilacs out back. The sun will rise at 5:25 am with the first light at 4:52 am, which is 48 seconds earlier than yesterday. 🌄 Tonight will have 9 hours and 6 minutes of darkness, a decrease of one minute and 43 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny โ˜€, with a high of 81 degrees at 3pm. Nine degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 55 at 6am. Northwest wind 8 to 15 mph. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high last year was 73 degrees. The record high of 93 was set in 1964.

Made some Macaroni and Cheese for dinner with a bunch of broccoli. A little bit more high calorie than I normally eat at home but I wanted a change. I get tired of having to find easy to cook meals with low packaging waste that is affordable. I guess I should take another look at the store and get more creative. I always try to have a big portion of vegetables in every meal.

Tonight I went down to the library and uploaded a few new Google Maps to the blog and another chart. I admit that I should do a lot more of that but I’ve gotten tired of that as I’ve mapped and graphed much of what I can get off interesting public data. I should do more digging bit I’m lazy.🐷 Maybe I should come up with some more. At least I have some things ready for the next few days and after which I will either have to make more or dig in the archives for past things folks have long forgotten.

Well, at least three first half of Memorial Day Weekend looks nice.😾 Saturday, a chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 63 at 6pm. Sunday, a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Maximum dew point of 60 at 1pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 72 degrees.

I think I’m going camping in the Adirondacks but where is to be decided. Still thinking about the Wells or Speculator area but with it going to be so warm Saturday, Pisceo Powley seems quite appealing too. โ›บFishing opportunities are better in Wells though under the dam. Might come back Sunday if it’s a complete washout. Decided to skip kayaking for this trip, I’d rather just park the truck for the weekend, and walk everywhere from camp to save gas, especially now that I expect the solar panel to keep things charged. Plus I get tired of driving all the time.

Got a bunch of books out of the library to read over the long weekend. I plan to spend much of my weekend reading. I really don’t read enough these days. 📚 You can learn much from a good book. Having a smartphone is kind of a big distraction although at least I don’t have regular internet or television at home.

In four weeks on June 19 the sun will be setting at 8:36 pm,🌄 which is 18 minutes and 7 seconds later then tonight. Almost the latest sunset of the year. In 2017 on that day, we had thunderstorm, thunderstorm rain, rain, mist, mostly cloudy skies and temperatures between 83 and 68 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 79 and 58 degrees. The record high of 94 degrees was set back in 1995.

Decided to buy another six of those FC 16 Max7219 modules from China,🎎 this time in green. I want to build a third large VMS display to use downstairs or for other projects. 💻Set me back $27 as the green modules are somewhat more expensive than the red ones. They also make blue ones but they are even more expensive as they have a different forward voltage than the standard red or even green ones. There may be cheaper LED displays available but these are big enough to be easily read across the room, don’t use much power and can be powered over USB and are well supported by Arduino libraries.

Looking ahead, 8:30 PM Sunset ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ is in 2 weeks, Average High is 80 🏖 is a month away, Election Day 2018 🗳๏ธ is in 24 weeks, Thanksgiving 🦃 is in 6 months, Christmas 🎅 is in 31 weeks, New Years Day 2019 🎉 is in 32 weeks, 36th Birthday 🎉 is in 36 weeks and Election Day 2020 🗳๏ธ is in 128 weeks.

🇺🇸🦅Only 2 days remain until the start of Memorial Day Weekend!🦅🇺🇸

April 14, 2018 Morning

Good morning! Happy Saturday. Next Saturday is Earth Day 🌎. No kids, Rolling Coal doesn’t cause global warming. Mostly cloudy and 43 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜ There is a north breeze at 11 mph. 🍃. A big gust of breeze came by and it’s cloudy to the north with sun to the south. Temperatures will drop below freezing around 1 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Today will have a chance of rain, mainly after 3pm. Mostly cloudy,โ›… with a temperature falling to around 37 by 5pm. North wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had sunny skies. The high last year was 64 degrees. Not this year though. The record high of 83 was set in 1968. 1.4 inches of snow fell back in 1950.โ„ Hardly something to write back home about.

The sun will set at 7:36 pm with dusk around 8:06 pm, which is one minute and 8 seconds later than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for clouds โ˜ and 36 degrees. There will be a north-northeast breeze at 13 mph. Today will have 13 hours and 22 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 46 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will rain before 2am, then freezing rain and sleet. โ˜” Low of 32 degrees at 2am. Five degrees below normal. Leave your windshield wipers up and prepare to wash your car off again this week. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible. In 2017, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 33 degrees. The record low of 21 occurred back in 1940.

It was nice down at the Town Park last night. 🌳Rather than stare at a screen, I brought a book📖 I had purchased years ago and was re-reading about renewable energy.📘Reading really is a very enjoyable thing especially with the fresh air down at the park. Reading this older book reminded me how much things have changed over the past decade. 🔧🔩 Certainly lighting technology has changed dramatically over the years, but most of the book is still quite relevant. People don’t think about insulation and vapor barriers but in many cases it’s actually more important to an energy efficient house than solar panels or fancy light bulbs. 🔋I don’t have the knowledge or the skills to do much home building but I am definitely interested in the electrical side of things, especially low voltage. 📟 I’m trying to become more educated though over the next ten years or so.

Starting to see green popping up at the park but it still gets dark quite early – about the same time that is common in late August.🌃 One of these days I’m going to do a chart or table on the blog that shows what one day’s average is most similar to the autumn season. 🎆For example, a 60 degree day in April is similar to certain day in October or a 7:30 sunset in April is equal to 7:30 sunset in early September. Not a difficult thing to calculate per se but quite fascinating.

I was going to have a beer out back but I don’t think the accessory battery has been fully charged in a while,โ›” so the protective relay has shut off the lights to the truck cap.🔋 I really need to get that solar panel mounted so it trickle charges all week long. 🚒Plus I’ve really cut back on drinking because it’s expensive and I have so little extra money to piss away🍺 and plus I wanted to work on wiring up the board I’m building.

Soldered on the pin headers for another Arduino Nano and are in the process of building another board for driving another of those MAX 7219 displays like the one that is now in my office. 💻I have the parts to build several more and this one will be an improved model with a 32kb external eeprom to allow many more random strings and quotes.โšก I’m thinking of skipping the case on this one and mounting the display directly to the wall. I quit soldering last night when I discovered I had a dead short that I’m struggling to find.🔬 I’m going to keep unsoldering and testing leads to find where I’ve accidentally either burnt off insulation or caused a solder bridge. 🔎It’s not apparent where the problem is from studying the connections with the big magnifying glass built-in with my helping hands unit.

I think today is going to be a pretty busy day with work, but I’m hopeful I will be home before the freezing rain comes.💦 I think the risk of rain has fallen around here at least for today. But I’m going to watch the forecast like a hawk and as things evolve I’ll plan my day accordingly.👀 I struggle to accept that we are still dealing with winter crap now that calendar winter is in the rear view mirror and summer is closer than Ground Hog Day.

Still thinking but not 100% certain if after the Pine Bush hike if I will go up to the Adirondacks to fish and camp. โ›บ Depends a whole lot on the weather. At this point, what’s one more week if I can get a full weekend of camping out of it or maybe even a three day weekend.🎣 By then the sun will be setting later too which is a good thing.

As previously noted, next Saturday is Earth Day 🌎 when the sun will be setting at 7:44 pm with dusk at 8:14 pm. On that day in 2017, we had rain, drizzle, mist, cloudy skies and temperatures between 57 and 47 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 61 degrees. We hit a record high of 89 back in 1923.
